Double Acting Pneumatic Actuator Introduction
The Double Acting pneumatic actuator is an advanced device designed for precise control of valves using the rotational movement of the gear shaft. Similar to the rack and pinion actuator, it relies on the meshing movement of the rack and gear driven by the piston.
This actuator operates through a double acting mechanism that enables bidirectional valve control. When the air pressure enters the middle cavity between the two pistons of the cylinder from the air port, the pistons are separated and moved towards the two ends of the cylinder. As a result, the air in the air chambers at both ends is discharged through the air port, while the two piston racks simultaneously drive the output shaft (gear) in a counterclockwise direction. Conversely, when the air pressure enters the air chambers at both ends of the cylinder from the air port, the pistons move towards the middle of the cylinder. This action causes the air in the middle air chamber to be discharged through the air port, while the two piston racks synchronously drive the output shaft to rotate clockwise.
The Double Acting Pneumatic Actuator shares several notable features with the Rack and Pinion Actuator, including its compliance with international standards and its certification with a CE certificate. It adheres to industry standards such as NAMUR, ISO5211, and DIN, ensuring seamless integration with various valve systems and facilitating broad applicability.
With an integrated design emphasizing stability and quality, this actuator delivers consistent and reliable performance, even in demanding environments. Its dual piston rack and pinion design provide high output power, enabling effective and efficient valve control. Additionally, the actuator is equipped with a multi-position indicator that allows for on-site visual instruction, facilitating quick and accurate monitoring of the valve's position and status.
In addition to these shared features, the Double Acting Pneumatic Actuator offers unique capabilities. Its switching actions are driven by the air source, enabling precise back-and-forth movement. This feature allows for versatile control, including ventilation activation and deactivation, as well as the ability to hold the gas in place when deactivated. The actuator's ability to input compressed air to both chambers of the cylinder enables efficient two-way movement, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring bidirectional valve control.
